Meet the Low Cost Service Team

    Integrative Trainee Counsellor

Sometimes, it can be hard to feel okay with life and your place in it. Counselling is a space to explore what matters to you, safely and without judgement, and how you can find a path towards growth and peace. I hope to offer you a calm, inviting service which lets you feel heard, and where you feel empowered to be yourself, however that may be.

I am currently in my second year of postgraduate training as an integrative counsellor at the University of Northampton. My approach draws from person-centred, psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioural therapies, as well as aspects of existential therapy and transactional analysis, so that I can tailor our work together specifically to you. I have a particular interest in working with issues of loneliness, depression and anxiety, and hope in the future to specialise in working with both carers and blue light workers.

I have experience working in mental health services and in bereavement counselling, supporting people through complex emotional difficulties, life changes and loss.

My hope is to offer a safe, caring and non-judgemental environment where you can talk freely and begin to make sense of your feelings, thoughts and experiences.

  • Dave

    Trainee Integrative Counsellor

I am a trainee counsellor studying for an MSc in Counselling at the University of Northampton. I work in an integrative way, drawing on a range of approaches while always keeping my client at the centre of everything I do.

For me, the most important element of working as a counsellor is the development of a trusting therapeutic relationship that is free from judgements or assumptions. If you choose to work with me, I hope you will find it easy to talk about your circumstances in a way that explores different aspects of yourself and reflects your changing moods and sometimes conflicting perspectives.

I believe that through having the freedom to do this and to listen carefully to what presents itself week on week it is possible to gain a sense of clarity and self that feels right and natural and which can help to guide us through hard times.

    Availability; 9am, 10am & 11am Saturdays from 4th April

  • Deborah

    Trainee Pluralistic Counsellor

I am a Trainee Pluralistic Counsellor currently training with Chrysalis courses.  I work from the belief that every individual is unique, requiring a personal and flexible approach to mental well-being.

I don't believe in a "one size fits all” philosophy so instead, I work collaboratively with my clients , drawing on Person Centred, Psychodynamic and CBT approaches, to identify what you need most in the moment—whether that is a space for deep reflection, a focus on current challenges, or a creative way to navigate complex emotions. I listen with curiosity and empathy and will walk alongside you without judgement, supporting you as you find your own path forwards.

In addition to my clinical work with adults, I have undertaken specialized training to support young people aged 11 and over. I understand that the transition from childhood to young adulthood carries its own specific pressures, and I am committed to providing a safe, adaptable environment where young people can feel heard and empowered.
